Just spectacular
Overall: 5
Frances McDormand who plays the Mother in this story gives a powerful performance that commands the screen with vigor whenever she is on. Sam Rockwell, the rather crooked cop with racist tendencies also gives a satisfying performance that leaves a rather villainous and vile character a shot at redemption. This film has a strong message that is spearheaded by even stronger performances. Deserving of its accolades. A Highly-Recommended watch!

A well written movie
Overall: 5
Initially thought that this movie could have won the best picture and best original screenplay at Oscars 2018 but I think the controversy of its racist plot may have caused its losses. The beauty of this movie is it used a simple story about a vengeful mother in a small town to bring out the whole lot of bad social problems in America. I rarely seen a movie where all of its main actors acted so well. The details of their emotions, changing from happy to depressed to angry, are so intricate and realistic that you will feel for them or intrigued by their explosion of emotions. The movie is so well written in bringing out the best of Frances McDormand, Sam Rockwell and Woody Harrelson which even landed them many wins and nominations for the various acting awards.

Would you live in a small town feeling frustrated on how things were managed prejudicially? A very touching movie, good humour in dialogues, racial discrimination, compassion, grief stricken by guilt, homophobia, self-reflection and practising justice in your hands. That's a powerful movie!

Life is one big sad joke and this depicts it very well. A mother seeking vengeance against her daughter who was raped and killed in the most creative of ways
